Feidhlim Mc Gowan won the men's race with a great performance, Mc Gowan was always in the top four of the race for the first 6k but he put went into top gear on the last 2k and pulled away to win by over 100m, this means that Mc Gowan is the overall league individual finishing 4th in the 1st leg and winning the 2nd and 3rd legs.
Eamon Mc Andrew put in a strong performance finishing 6th with Aidan Mc Moreland putting in another fine effort to finish 7th in the race and win the 1st masters prize, Ray Gillen who has had a rejuvenated season showed great grit with 13th place finish in Saturday's race to win the bronze medal in the masters section.
